Italy launches energy and sustainability initiatives for small businesses

Confartigianato has launched the Energy and Sustainability Week, a series of 50 events held across Italy from October 19 to 24. The initiative aims to sensitize businesses, citizens, and institutions regarding environmental and energy transformations, focusing on efficient resource use, innovative solutions, and the reduction of waste.

A key component of these efforts is the Fondo Energia 2026, a revolving fund providing subsidized financing for green economy projects. The fund is designed to support companies of all sizes and Energy Service Companies (ESCo) that have production sites in Emilia-Romagna.

Eligible expenses include energy efficiency improvements, the installation of renewable energy systems for self-consumption, seismic upgrading in conjunction with energy interventions, and projects promoting circular economy processes. To qualify for seismic upgrading funds, such projects must be combined with energy efficiency or renewable energy initiatives.
