Italy launches new training programs for healthcare and family assistants

Various regional initiatives in Italy are launching training programs to address the growing demand for healthcare and family assistance workers.

In the Belluno province, the Circolo Cultura e Stampa Bellunese, in collaboration with the Province of Belluno and the Bim Consortium, is organizing a 1,000-hour training course for socio-sanitary operators. Recognized by the Veneto Region, the program includes theoretical lessons, laboratory activities, and internships at elderly care centers and hospital units. Applications for the course must be submitted by September 11, with selection taking place on September 21 in Feltre.

In the Reno Lavino Samoggia Union, a 40-hour training course for home family assistants will be held in Zola Predosa this autumn. The program offers 30 spots and includes theoretical instruction and a 12-hour internship. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate and be included in a district list to facilitate direct connections between trained professionals and families in need of assistance.
