Italy launches summer pause for tax filings and school office services
From 1 August, Italy’s tax authority will suspend many routine fiscal communications and deadlines. Notices such as avvisi bonari and compliance letters will not be sent during August, and payment terms for these notices are extended to 4 September. Certain tax payments and filings due between 1 and 20 August can be made by the 20th without penalties, while other obligations, document submissions and inspections are paused until 4 September. Ongoing payment plans and existing debts, however, remain in force.
Separately, school secretariat offices will operate on reduced summer hours from 8 July to 31 August 2026, opening only 9:00‑13:00 on weekdays. The offices will be closed on specific pre‑holiday Saturdays and on 27 July‑24 August at the Via Zà Pagana campus, with administrative work continuing internally or by appointment only in urgent cases. Families and staff are advised to plan any certification or documentation requests around these limited hours.
