Italy local government workers sign new 2025-2027 contract
The collective bargaining agreement (CCNL) for local government functions for the 2025-2027 period has reached its final signature. The agreement affects more than 400,000 workers across various territorial entities.
The Court of Auditors certified the agreement, estimating a full-scale increase of 5.4%, which translates to a monthly average of 136.61 euros per capita. The projected costs for the implementation are 323.47 million euros for 2025, 654.14 million euros for 2026, and 971.44 million euros for 2027.
Daniela Fumarola, General Secretary of the CISL, noted that this renewal is significant as it was signed during the validity of the previous contract rather than after its expiration. The agreement includes tabular increases by area, various allowances, and provisions for training and protections. While the contract is signed, payment dates will vary across different administrations.
