A21 motorway tragedy: Family drives 100 km with deceased son

A Romanian family traveling in Italy experienced a tragedy on the A21 motorway between Casteggio and Voghera. A 31-year-old man died in the backseat of the vehicle while his parents continued to drive for approximately 100 kilometers, believing he was simply asleep.

The incident occurred on a Sunday morning during a trip toward Turin. The parents, who were seated in the front, reportedly noticed the young man had stopped speaking and had become unresponsive, but interpreted his silence as sleep. It was only after stopping at a service area around 7:30 AM that they realized he had no pulse.

Initial investigations suggest the man may have suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. According to emergency responders, the deceased had a history of mild heart problems. Authorities are conducting further examinations and an autopsy to confirm the exact cause and timing of death.
