Italy marks Aragno anniversary and nuragic archaeological discovery

In Italy, the Aragno sports club is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a 24-hour swimming and water polo marathon scheduled for October 2–3. The event, which has been included in the Fuori Salone program, serves a dual purpose: celebrating the club's history and raising funds for a charitable cause. Proceeds will support a woman living with ALS, helping her remain at home with her daughters rather than being transferred to a specialized facility.

Separately, archaeologists at the nuragic sanctuary of S’Arcu ‘e Is Forros have discovered a sacred well that has seen water reappear after three millennia. During recent excavations, researchers uncovered a circular structure approximately 70–80 centimeters in diameter that descends at least six meters. The site has yielded ceramic fragments and a 20-centimeter votive sword fragment. Experts state the discovery provides significant new insights into the historical understanding of the site.
