Italy national football team reaches 15th in FIFA rankings

The Italy national football team has reached 15th place in the latest FIFA rankings following their recent Nations League performances. While the team gained five points through matches against Belgium, France, and Turkey, they did not climb in the overall standings, which are currently led by Spain, Argentina, and France.

Despite the ranking position, Italy has secured a spot as one of the 12 seeded teams for the Euro 2028 qualifying group draws. This status was confirmed following a victory against Turkey, ensuring Italy will avoid top seeds such as Portugal, the Netherlands, Greece, France, Spain, and England during the draw.

National team coach Roberto Mancini is now looking toward November fixtures, where Italy will compete for the top spot in their group against France and Belgium. The squad is currently managing several injuries, with players like Federico Dimarco, Nicolò Zaniolo, and Bryan Cristante sidelined, while others like Alessandro Buongiorno and Manuel Locatelli await recovery.
