Italy: New nursery opening in Bertinoro and childcare updates in Nuoro

In Bertinoro, a new nursery school in Santa Maria Nuova is scheduled to open this September. Funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the facility features Montessori-inspired environments and outdoor education spaces. The management has been assigned to the social cooperative Formula Servizi alle Persone. To support families, local authorities have announced that nursery fees will remain unchanged for the 2026-27 academic year, and enrollment will be extended to non-resident families.

In Nuoro, local officials are addressing concerns regarding pre- and post-school childcare services at the Calamida institute. Following political criticism regarding the lack of available space due to an illegally occupied building, the Councilor for Public Education, Domenico Cabula, assured parents that suitable facilities will be secured to guarantee childcare services before and after school hours, even if alternative locations are required.
