Italy outlines 2026/27 school calendar; Frosinone launches student aid

The 2026/27 academic year schedule has been set by regional authorities across Italy. The earliest start is 7 September in the autonomous Province of Bolzano, while the latest is 17 September in Puglia; most regions begin classes on 14 or 15 September. The school year will finish in the first half of June 2027, with dates varying by region and early‑childhood programmes often running until 30 June.

In the municipality of Frosinone, the public‑education office, led by assessor Mario Grieco, opened applications for two programmes. A regional subsidy of up to €493.71 is available for secondary‑school students to cover textbooks, digital learning tools and notebooks, provided the household ISEE does not exceed 15. Applications must be submitted by 23 September. A separate school‑transport service, operating two provisional lines and requiring a minimum of three students per school, will accept contributions based on ISEE, with deadlines of 9 September for transport requests and payment options through September.
