Mile Svilar to miss one month due to hand injury

AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar is expected to be sidelined for approximately one month following a stress fracture sustained during training. Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed the injury, noting it occurred during a training session involving a push.

The injury affects the fifth digit of his hand. Medical staff are currently deciding whether to pursue conservative treatment or perform a surgical procedure to insert a screw for joint stability. If surgery is required, his return may be delayed until after the mid-November international break.

To cover Svilar's absence, Gasperini has designated Pierluigi Gollini as the primary replacement for upcoming matches, including the fixture against Como. The injury comes at a critical time for the club as they manage a dense schedule across Serie A and the Champions League.
