Italy professional reform bill gains support for protecting professional freedom
CNA Professioni has expressed support for amendments to Bill no. 1663 regarding the reform of professional regulations in Italy. The changes aim to protect professional freedom and pluralism by clarifying that all activities not expressly reserved by law remain freely exercisable by professionals.
The reform emphasizes the European principle of proportionality, requiring a prior assessment of the necessity and adequacy of any new limitations on professional access. This is intended to safeguard competition, innovation, and economic initiative. CNA Professioni noted that the implementation phase must ensure these principles are consistently applied in legislative decrees to avoid improperly restricting professional scopes.
