Italy promotes railway heritage through conferences and television
Italy is highlighting its railway heritage through various cultural initiatives. The “Giovedì Treni!” conference series recently held its fifth session in Abano Terme, featuring a presentation titled “La Transiberiana d’Italia” by Attilio Di Iorio.
Additionally, the television program “Signori si parte – Treni storici in giro per l’Italia,” produced by DirAmare in collaboration with Fondazione FS Italiane, will premiere its second season on La7. The first episode, airing October 11, follows journalist Stefania Capobianco on a journey through the western Ligurian region. Traveling via historical trains, the episode explores the landscapes and traditions of Sanremo and Ventimiglia, focusing on local history, floriculture, and regional gastronomy.
