Italy hosts various regional food and truffle festivals

Various regional food festivals and gastronomic events are taking place across Italy this October, with a heavy emphasis on white truffles and traditional baked goods.

In Sant’Agata Feltria, the 42nd National White Truffle Fair continues, featuring a truffle dog competition at Montefeltro Park and local culinary showcases. Similarly, the International White Truffle Fair in Pergola is focusing on innovation and the protection of natural truffle-growing environments through research and sustainable management.

Piedmont is hosting several events, including the National Truffle Fair in Montiglio Monferrato and the Hazelnut City Fair in Castellero. In the Asti region, the ‘Terre del Bianco’ project has unified nine different truffle fairs to promote local tourism and gastronomy.

Other notable events include the XXIII edition of Pane Nostrum in Senigallia, a national salon dedicated to leavened products, and the Saboris Antigus festival in Sardinia, which celebrates the authentic culinary traditions of the Trexenta and Sarcidano subregions.
