Italy provides 12 million euros for tourism in Bolivia

The governments of Bolivia and Italy have launched the Cultural and Natural Tourism Development Program for the Cochabamba and Potosí departments. The initiative includes 12 million euros in financing from Italy to strengthen local tourism, heritage, and services.

During the signing ceremony, Italian Ambassador Fabio Messineo confirmed that an initial disbursement of 4.5 million euros has already been made. The funds are intended to revitalize local heritage, stimulate regional economies, and generate employment in the municipalities of Arani, Anzaldo, Cliza, Tarata, and Torotoro.

Bolivian Foreign Minister Héctor Huanca emphasized that the program demonstrates how different levels of the state can collaborate on a single project to benefit these specific regions.
