Italy reopens roads after hazardous truck spill in Bari and tree collapse on A26

In Bari, a truck overturned on State Road 96, spilling containers of calcium hypochlorite and other solvents. The fire department’s NBCR unit secured the area while a specialized cleaning firm prepared to wash the roadway. The road remained closed until the cleanup and safety checks were completed.

Separately, on the A26 near Besnate, a large tree fell onto the carriageway, forcing a temporary closure. Firefighters cleared the debris and traffic resumed after the obstruction was removed, easing the congestion that had built up on alternative routes.

Both incidents resulted in temporary traffic disruptions that have now been resolved, and authorities continue to monitor the affected road sections for safety.
