Fatal crash in Bisceglie and serious motorbike collision near Riccione, Italy
A 46‑year‑old woman from Bisceglie was fatally injured when a motorbike struck her as she crossed a pedestrian crossing on Via Giovanni Bovio. She had been hospitalized for a week with severe head trauma before dying on the morning of 30 June. Local councilor Gianni Naglieri commented, “A woman was swept by a motorbike while crossing the zebra crossing… there is a need for a comprehensive safety plan.”
On the same day, a 66‑year‑old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a Toyota Spider near the Riccione‑Tavoleto road. The rider was thrown onto the asphalt, suffered multiple fractures and was air‑lifted to the Bufalini hospital in Cesena. Police are investigating the cause of both accidents.
