Italy police arrest men for domestic violence and threats

Italian law enforcement agencies have conducted several arrests related to domestic violence and threats. In Cadorago, a 48-year-old man was arrested by Carabinieri after breaking into his ex-wife's home with a kitchen knife, threatening her in the presence of their four children. The man, who had a prior record for domestic abuse, was apprehended in a state of intoxication.

In Adrano, police identified and blocked a 31-year-old man with a history of domestic violence. The individual allegedly threatened his former partner by showing her a pistol during a video call and later attempted to intimidate her by striking her apartment door with kicks and punches. He was intercepted in a nearby municipality and referred to the judicial authorities.

These operations align with the ‘Codice Rosso’ initiative, aimed at combating domestic violence and protecting victims through swift police intervention.
