Italy revokes house arrest for Frosinone woman after stolen phone find; fraud suspect detained in Verona

In a separate case, a 37‑year‑old woman residing in Milan was arrested in Verona by police for an attempted aggravated fraud. She pretended to be a Carabinieri marshal, contacting an elderly victim and claiming a robbery had involved the victim’s vehicle. She tried to persuade the woman to hand over money and jewelry, but was intercepted after the victim’s son alerted authorities. The suspect was placed under a residence‑restriction order in Naples and must report daily to police.
