Italy road safety: Commemorations and demands for infrastructure following accidents

In Italy, local communities and organizations are calling for improved road safety following recent fatal and serious accidents.

In Andria, the Regional Committee of FCI Puglia, in collaboration with AVIS di Andria and the local municipality, is organizing a roundtable discussion titled “Tre vite, due impegni, una strada” (Three lives, two commitments, one road). The event serves to commemorate Sandro Abruzzese, Antonio Porro, and Vincenzo Mantovani, three cyclists and blood donors who were killed by a car on the SP 231 near Terlizzi one year ago. The initiative aims to use the tragedy as a teaching moment to address the safety of
