Italy roadworks implement alternating one-way traffic
Various road maintenance and infrastructure projects in Italy will implement alternating one-way traffic to manage local transit.
In the Larian Triangle, works are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, affecting the SP 42 Caslino-Pusiano and SP 41 Valassina roads in the municipalities of Castelmarte and Barni. In Castelmarte, Lereti S.p.A. will perform gas network repairs on a 100-meter stretch of the SP 42. This will involve alternating one-way traffic between 8:30 and 17:00, running through October 31, 2026. Traffic will be managed by a sensor-equipped traffic light system to regulate wait times.
In Sardinia, maintenance is being conducted on the dirt ford between Villaputzu and Muravera. Starting Thursday, October 8, the area will utilize alternating one-way traffic rather than a full closure to minimize commuter delays. Local police will regulate transit starting at 8:30. The project is funded by regional resources, though local officials noted that new funds are awaited following the depletion of current allocations.
