Italy rolls out faster 2026 childcare and school bonus payments
The Italian government has changed the administration of the 2026 childcare ("bonus nido") scheme. Under a new INPS circular, nursery managers will transmit attendance and fee data directly to the pension institute, eliminating manual receipt uploads by families and accelerating reimbursements.
A separate 2026 school bonus for private schools was also released. Families with an ISEE below €30,000 can receive €1,500 per student, funded with €20 million. Applications are submitted through the UNICA‑MIM platform and require an updated ISEE, digital identity (SPID, CIE or CNS) and the school’s IBAN for payment.
Both measures aim to reduce bureaucracy and support families with child‑care and education costs.
