Italy school offices release results for support teacher recruitment

Italian regional school offices (UST) have begun publishing results and notices for the ‘mini call veloce’ procedure, an extraordinary recruitment process for support teachers (sostegno) for the 2026 school year. Over 3,000 positions have been made available to teachers seeking permanent roles following the GPS rankings.

A key component of this process is the ‘bollettino zero’, which manages continuity for support teachers. To maintain their position at the same school from the previous year, two conditions must be met: the teaching position must remain vacant, and the teacher must be eligible for appointment based on their GPS score and their expressed preference for continuity within their 150 submitted choices. Statistically, approximately 50% of applicants are confirmed through this specific bulletin.

Once a province and specific school site are assigned, teachers have five days to communicate their acceptance. Failure to accept the assigned site within this timeframe is treated as an official renunciation of the appointment.
