Italy sets August tax payments to August 20, pauses notice counting

In Italy, annual fiscal practice shifts all August tax payments to August 20. Additionally, tax notices issued between August 1 and September 4 are not counted toward payment deadlines. Economist Gianni Lepre explained the arrangement, noting it is a recurring “fiscal truce” each year.

The policy applies nationwide, influencing both individuals and businesses that owe taxes during the summer period.
