Italy sets provisional teaching assignment rules for 2026‑27 school year

The Ministry of Education will announce the dates for the 2026‑27 and 2027‑28 provisional teaching and educational staff assignments in early July. A filing window is expected between 13 and 24 July for teachers, educational staff and ATA personnel, governed by the CCNI provisions.

Applicants seeking a provisional assignment in a different class or education level must hold a specific qualification for that class and present the decree confirming they have passed the probation (year of training) as required by article 7, paragraph 5 of the CCNI. The application must include an attachment declaring the specific qualification, the date and place of acquisition, and proof of passing the probation year. Failure to provide these documents will result in the request being rejected.

The process will be regulated by the CCNI agreement on utilizations and provisional assignments, which is expected to be signed during the week of 6‑11 July 2026.
