Italy ski resorts prepare for season following first snowfall

Ski resorts across Italy are preparing for the winter season following recent snowfall in the Apennines and the Alps. In Breuil-Cervinia, the first slopes on the Italian side of the Plateau Rosa glacier are set to open to the public, with official dates expected to be finalized in the coming days. Cervino Spa is utilizing recent snow and dropping temperatures to complete slope preparations.

In the Apennines, locations ranging from Cerreto to Collagna and Passo di Pradarena have seen their first snow of the season. Local tourism operators view the snowfall as a positive sign for the upcoming winter. Some stations are aiming to open as early as December 8, though operators expressed hope that preparations could be completed even sooner.
