Italy's ex bonus Renzi: recovery deadline for up to 1,200 euros
Italian employees may be able to recover up to 1,200 euros annually through the supplementary treatment known as the ‘ex bonus Renzi’. Taxpayers who have not received the full amount in their paychecks or who received a lower amount can apply for corrections via an integrated tax return (730) by the deadline of October 26, 2026.
The benefit, which provides up to 100 euros per month, is primarily available to employees with an annual income up to 15,000 euros, provided there is sufficient tax capacity. For those earning between 15,000 and 28,000 euros, eligibility depends on specific tax deductions.
Discrepancies often occur when employers lack complete data, such as when a worker has multiple employment contracts, changes jobs during the year, or has other sources of income. The bonus is also available to certain recipients of unemployment benefits, though pensioners are excluded.
