Italy to hold pre-selection exams for 400 firefighters in Rome

The pre-selection phase for the competition to recruit 400 firefighters from the National Fire Corps will take place on October 14 and 15, 2026. The exams will be held at a single location, the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome.

Following a call for applications from the Ministry of the Interior, 27,115 candidates applied for the positions. The pre-selection process aims to narrow this number down to 4,000 candidates, who will then proceed to the physical and aptitude tests. The schedule for the exams is organized into six shifts based on the initial letter of the candidates' surnames, with sessions occurring at 9:00, 12:30, and 16:00.
