Italy to host major robotics and mechanical engineering events in 2026

Italy is set to host two significant industrial and scientific events in 2026 focused on mechanical engineering and automation.

From October 13 to 16, 2026, Fiera Milano will host the 35th BI-MU, a major exhibition dedicated to machine tools, robotics, automation, and additive manufacturing. The event will feature the third edition of ‘RobotHeart – the art of smart robotics,’ an area sponsored by SIRI. This section will showcase global robotics leaders, technological innovations, and research from universities and startups, targeting sectors such as automotive, logistics, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.

Additionally, from September 7 to 10, 2026, Brescia will host the XXVII AIMETA Congress at Palazzo Calini ai Fiumi. Organized by the University of Brescia and the Italian Association of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the congress will bring together researchers, academics, and industrial professionals to discuss advancements in modeling, materials, and engineering technologies.
