Italy tourism: 10 million people expected to vacation in September

September remains a popular month for holidays in Italy, with an estimated 10 million people planning to take at least one vacation period. According to data from the Osservatorio Confturismo in collaboration with Swg, the average expenditure per person is 760 euros.

Travel patterns vary in duration: 2.8 million Italians plan short trips of one to two nights, while 3 million opt for stays of three to five nights. The remaining travelers expect longer vacations of seven nights or more. The seaside remains the most preferred destination, chosen by 41% of travelers.
