Italy transport disruptions: railway fire and Naples service updates

Transport services in Italy are facing various disruptions due to fires and infrastructure maintenance. A fire near the railway tracks between Pomezia and Campoleone has suspended traffic on the Naples-Rome line via Formia. This has caused delays of over an hour and forced several Intercity and Regional trains to terminate early or change routes, impacting passengers at Roma Termini and Napoli Centrale.

In Naples, scheduled closures continue on Metro Line 1, with stations Piscinola-Scampia, Chiaia, and Frullone closed for renovations until September 13. Additionally, the Montesanto funicular remains out of service for a major overhaul, and the Mergellina funicular is closed until September 2. Regarding rail services, following a 1.9 magnitude tremor in the Campi Flegrei area, the interruption on the Cumana line between Bagnoli and Torregaveta remains in effect, with replacement buses being utilized.
