Italy: Two elderly men found dead in separate incidents
Two separate incidents involving the deaths of elderly men have been reported in Italy.
In Nichelino, the body of an 80-year-old man was discovered in his apartment on via Parri on Sunday, September 27. Neighbors alerted authorities after noticing a strong odor emanating from the residence. Medical examiners determined that the man had been deceased for several days and that his death appeared to be due to natural causes.
In a separate event, 79-year-old Paolo Pasian was found dead on Tuesday, October 6, in the dry bed of the Cellina river near Montereale Valcellina. Pasian had been missing from his home in Cordenons since October 5. Firefighters and specialized rescue teams located his body and his bicycle near a dam. Authorities are conducting investigations to reconstruct the circumstances surrounding his death.
