Italy reports multiple fatal and serious road accidents

Multiple road accidents and traffic incidents have been reported across various Italian regions. In Anagni, a head-on collision between a Mercedes and a Ford resulted in one fatality and three serious injuries.

In the Zelo Buon Persico area, a collision between an Alfa Romeo and an Audi left three people injured, requiring emergency helicopter transport to Milanese hospitals. On the A2 motorway near Sicignano degli Alburni, a truck driver died after his vehicle struck a guardrail and fell from a viaduct; investigators are looking into potential medical distress or distraction.

Other incidents include a pedestrian being struck by a car in Lavena Ponte Tresa, a driver losing control and ending up in a ditch in Maiolati Spontini, and a vehicle crashing through a guardrail in Pozzilli. In Treviso, local police intercepted a 40-year-old woman driving a Fiat 500 on its rim due to a destroyed tire; she was found to have a blood alcohol level of 3.01 g/l and was disoriented, believing she was in Trieste.
