Italy two-wheel market sees scooter growth in August 2026

The Italian two-wheel market is showing positive trends for scooters despite economic uncertainty and inflation. According to Ancma data for August 2026, the overall motorized two-wheel market grew by 5.28%, with 17,038 vehicles registered. The scooter segment led this growth with a 9.92% increase, totaling 10,272 units, while mopeds saw a significant rise of 20.92%. In contrast, motorcycle registrations experienced a slight decline of 3.9%.

Electric vehicle adoption continues to recover, with electric models growing by 31.64% in August. The Honda SH 125 remains a prominent model in the market. The 2026 version of the SH 125 features a redesigned front end with dual headlights, a 4.2-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, and improved seat comfort through updated foam padding.
