Italy U12 Tennis Teams Lose at Lampo Trophy

At the 24th Lampo Trophy in Brescia, Italy’s under‑12 tennis squads suffered double defeats. The girls lost 3‑0 to France, ending their group in second place, while the boys fell 1‑0 to Austria, dropping to third and missing the semifinals.

Victor Freitas secured Austria’s solitary set win (6‑3, 6‑4) over Italy’s Giovanni Fazio, and Teodor Mihai Vasile added the decisive double‑set victory (7‑5) against Tommaso Radic. In the women’s singles, France’s Soline Choi and Rose Millon each posted straight‑set victories over Italy’s Alice Carlinfante and Alice Cellai. The French pair Millon/Vandeputte also won the doubles 6‑1, 6‑4. Italy will now contest the final‑place match against Canada.

The tournament continues on Friday with the girls’ semifinals at 08:45 and the boys’ at 13:30.
