Italy Under-19 football team faces Turkey in Croatia tournament

The Italy Under-19 national football team is scheduled to face Turkey in an international friendly tournament held in Croatia. The match is set to take place at the Gradski stadion in Ludbreg.

Following a 2-1 victory against France in their opening match, the squad led by Massimiliano Favo seeks to maintain momentum. The previous match against France saw Simone Lontani score for Italy, though the team had to overcome playing with ten men after Christian Fogliaro received a second yellow card. Leonardo Noah Bovio secured the win with a goal in the 88th minute.

Torino FC midfielder Andrea Luongo is expected to feature in the lineup, having started in the match against France. Luongo, who has also seen playing time with Torino's first team this season, is among several players being monitored by his club during his development with the national youth team. The tournament schedule also includes a subsequent match against the host nation, Croatia, on October 1.
