Italy Under-21 wins in Armenia to stay in European Championship race

The Italy Under-21 national football team secured a crucial 1-0 victory against Armenia in Yerevan, keeping their hopes alive for direct qualification to the European Under-21 Championship. The decisive goal was scored by Milan player Alphadjo Cisse during stoppage time in the 95th minute, following a rebound after a save by the Armenian goalkeeper.

Despite the win, Italy remains three points behind Poland in Group E standings. To overtake Poland and secure first place, which grants direct entry to the tournament, Italy must defeat Poland by a margin of at least two goals in their upcoming head-to-head match. The Italian side, coached by Silvio Baldini, currently sits in second place with 24 points.
