Italy Unveils Major Museum Exhibitions in Parma and Brescia
The "Racconti materici di Brunivo Buttarelli" exhibition will be held at the Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza, Parma, from 23 May to 29 Nov 2026. It presents the artist’s sculptural anthology built from assembled recycled materials, exploring themes of material transformation, memory and renewal, and is located in the restored Farnese Apartment and Farnesian Garden.
The "Tesori. Il grande romanzo dei Musei bresciani. 1826 | 2026" exhibition will open at the Museo di Santa Giulia in Brescia on 4 Nov 2026 and run until 22 Aug 2027. As part of the bicentennial celebrations of the Vittoria Alata discovery, it will display 100 works normally kept in storage, curated by Stefano Karadjov and Roberta D’Adda. The show spans archaeology, fine arts, science, history and ethnography, featuring historic masters such as Rembrandt alongside contemporary photographers, and includes rare items like a 1062 Byzantine astrolabe.
