Italy updates school transparency rules and reverses substitute‑teacher algorithm

On 5 June 2026, Italy’s Court of Cassation (sentence 18156) overturned the prevailing interpretation of the GPS (Graduatorie Provinciali per le Supplenze) algorithm used for assigning substitute‑teacher positions.
