Italy updates small‑municipality revitalisation plan, adds 13 projects including Ceppaloni
On 30 June 2026 the Italian government issued a decree (DPCM) that revises the ranking of projects eligible for funding under the National Plan for the Revitalisation of Small Municipalities. The update integrates 13 new projects after administrative reviews of appeals lodged by local authorities, and extends the validity of the ranking for an additional three years.
Among the reinstated projects are the historic‑centre pavement renovation in Ceppaloni (valued at €2.8 million) and works in Sesto Campano, Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi, the Taburno mountain community, Magliano de’ Marsi, Castel San Lorenzo, Gorgoglione, the Terre di Mezzo municipal union, Castelguidone, the Madonie municipal union, Mongiana, Casali del Manco, Ceppaloni and Mulazzo. The Ministry of the Interior will conduct further checks, allocate funds from the Structural, Economic and Social Development Fund, and sign programme agreements with the beneficiary municipalities, subject to the available budget.
