Italy water news: Langhe infrastructure and Teramo service outages

In the Langhe region of Piedmont, the extensive water infrastructure serves approximately 220,000 people and numerous businesses. The network, which exceeds 450 kilometers, is the longest in southern Piedmont. Much of its development is attributed to the leadership of Giacomo Oddero, who served as president of the Consorzio Acquedotto delle Langhe and worked to bring water from the Val Corsaglia and Valle Vermenagna sources to the hills.

Separately, in the Abruzzo region, urgent repairs in the Nepezzano district of Teramo have caused a temporary suspension of potable water services. The outage affects several areas including Teramo, Bellante, and the entire municipality of Sant’Omero. Technicians are working to repair a pipe leak, with service expected to resume by late afternoon.
