Italy's ADM launches online gambling complaints portal

The Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM) announced that, from 10 September, a dedicated online portal will be available for players to submit complaints and reports about online gambling operators. The portal implements EU‑mandated response times: operators must answer any player complaint within 72 hours, and ADM will monitor compliance through the system.

At the same time, Italian players are increasingly turning to offshore gambling platforms that are not licensed by Italy’s AAMS authority. These non‑AAMS casinos operate under licences from jurisdictions such as Malta, Curaçao and Gibraltar, offering larger bonuses, flexible deposit options—including credit cards, digital wallets and cryptocurrencies—and multilingual support. While they are legal in the jurisdictions that issue their licences, they fall outside Italian regulatory oversight, prompting the new ADM portal to serve as a single point of contact for unresolved disputes.
