Italy's August racing: Corridonia Grand Prix and Cesena trot meet

The Ippodromo Martini in Corridonia will host the Gran Premio Città di Corridonia on 13 August. The event is part of a strategic revamp by the new Caroli Global Service management, which aims to modernise the historic venue, promote animal welfare and re‑engage the local community. All early shows have sold out. Media personality Fabrizio Corona is scheduled to appear as guest of honour, adding a high‑profile entertainment element to the race.

A second event will take place on 22 August at the Savio racetrack in Cesena. The evening trot meet is dedicated to the city of Città di Castello and the long‑running National Horse Exhibition. It continues a partnership that began in the 1960s, celebrating regional collaboration and featuring awards for prominent breeders and trainers from Umbria and central Italy. The programme is part of the Altotevere Umbria initiative, highlighting the historic ties between the two towns through horse sport.
