Italy's Breast and Men's Health Campaigns Highlight Early Detection

The 12th edition of the Camminata Rosa returned in Italy, organized by Dr. Carlo Iannace to raise awareness of breast‑cancer prevention and early diagnosis. Iannace emphasized the event’s growing impact, noting, "La prevenzione salva la vita," and highlighted a new stop at the recently opened autism centre in Rione Mazzini, which will welcome participants.

In November, the Italian Urologists Association (AURO.it) relaunched the Movember 2025 campaign, urging men to undergo regular screenings for prostate and testicular cancers and to practice self‑examination. The campaign stresses the importance of PSA tests, advanced imaging, and biopsies for early detection, and also addresses broader male urological health issues such as sexual dysfunction and infertility, linking them to systemic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
