Italy's export growth to the United States underscored by Meloni's remarks

Europarliamentarian Alberico Gambino highlighted that Italy's export to the United States has surged, overtaking Japan and reaching historic levels. He attributed the rise to the stability of the Meloni government, which has funded research, innovation and development projects, especially in the Mezzogiorno, supporting high‑value manufacturing and Made‑in‑Italy products.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reiterated that bilateral relations with the United States remain solid and strategic despite recent comments by former President Donald Trump. She said the Italy‑US partnership will return to normality, citing continued institutional and economic cooperation and the recent Italian ministerial visit to Washington.

Both officials emphasized that the government's consistent policies and investment climate are key drivers of Italy’s growing presence in the U.S. market.
