Italy's Health Agencies Sign Agreement to Boost Prevention Programs

The Provincial Health Authority of Catania (ASP Catania) and the National Institute for Social Security (INPS) have signed a protocol aimed at expanding preventive health activities. The agreement will coordinate screening, vaccination campaigns, informational events and health‑education pathways for INPS employees, their families and the broader public, seeking to shift focus from treatment to early detection and lifestyle awareness.

At the same time, Italy’s national “Prevenzione è Salute” 2025‑2026 campaign is promoting cardiovascular prevention across cities, encouraging regular checks of blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and body‑mass index. The initiative stresses that early monitoring can identify silent risk factors such as hypertension, helping citizens adopt healthier habits before symptoms appear.
