Mediaset confirmed the acquisition of the children's channels K2 (channel 41) and Frisbee (channel 44) from Warner Bros. Discovery. The two channels will join the existing Boing joint venture and their commercial sales will gradually shift to Publitalia, strengthening Mediaset's kids‑network portfolio. No changes to channel numbers are planned.
Rai announced that its long‑running channel Rai Gulp (channel 42) will cease broadcasting on 1 January 2027. It will be replaced by a new brand, Rai Vibe (styled V/BE), aimed at pre‑teens and early teenagers (10‑14 years). The launch will follow a multi‑platform rollout: first on social media, then on RaiPlay and YouTube, and finally on digital terrestrial TV. Director of Rai Kids Roberto Genovesi said, “Not a simple update of the offer, but a strategic redesign – with V/BE we want to be present where the kids move: on social and YouTube.” CEO Giampaolo Rossi added that the changes represent “paradigm shifts” for the public broadcaster’s kids programming.
