Italy's Sanremo Festival outlines 2027 lineup and plans

Artistic director Stefano De Martino is preparing the Sanremo Music Festival for 2027, reviewing submissions and targeting a mix of established stars and fresh talent. Names mentioned as possible participants include singer‑songwriter Tony Pitony, rapper Samurai Jay, as well as veteran performers Emma Marrone and Al Bano Carrisi, who have shown interest in returning to the Ariston stage.

In a separate interview, singer Nek reflected on his three‑decade career, his recent roles as coach on The Voice Kids and The Voice Senior, and his willingness to submit a song to Sanremo if he finds one he deems worthy. He also discussed the festival’s rule separating the winner from Italy’s Eurovision representative, noting both respect for tradition and openness to new formats.
