Italy's summer stage lineup: 'Elettra 1944' in Cirella and Gianluca Impastato in Riccione

The Teatro dei Ruderi in Cirella, Calabria, will open its 2026 summer season on 10 August with "Elettra 1944," a new play written and directed by Giancarlo Nicoletti. The production stars Pamela Villoresi, Giulio Corso, Francesco Foti, Alice Spisa and others, and reimagines the Oresteia set in Nazi‑occupied Rome. A second event at the same venue, a stand‑up comedy show featuring Vincenzo Comunale, is scheduled for 16 August.

In Riccione, Emilia‑Romagna, the "Onde Comiche" series continues on 11 August with a performance by comedian Gianluca Impastato, known from the TV program "Colorado." The free‑entry show is organized by the municipality and local cultural groups, and will be followed by a final evening on 25 August featuring artistic director Giovanni D’Angella.
