Italy's Tajani addresses safety of troops in Saudi Arabia

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has addressed concerns regarding the safety of Italian military personnel following Houthi missile attacks in Saudi Arabia. Tajani stated that normal security measures are in place to ensure the safety of troops involved in Task Force Arabia.

He clarified that the presence of Italian soldiers in Saudi Arabia was not a surprise, but rather a strategic relocation of troops from Kuwait to ensure their security. Tajani emphasized that Parliament has been kept informed of these movements.

Additionally, Tajani reaffirmed Italy's commitment to Operation Aspides, which aims to protect merchant vessels navigating the Red Sea, and expressed hope for a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing regional complications.
