Italy's tax agency publishes Ecobonus filing guide for 2026 returns

The Agenzia delle Entrate has released a series of downloadable guides covering the Ecobonus, the tax credit for energy‑saving building renovations, for the 2026 tax year (period 2025). The instructions detail how to complete the relevant sections of the 730/2026 form (fields E61/E62) for a range of interventions, including insulation, solar panels, heating system upgrades, biomass generators, building‑automation devices and works on common areas of condominium buildings.

The agency also highlights the broader role of fiscal assistance beyond the annual tax filing. It stresses that digital portals and pre‑filled models have simplified data transmission, but the complexity of the tax code—particularly the numerous bonuses and income‑based limits—still requires professional support.
